Instructions

  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour mixed with baking powder; mix until just combined.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut shapes and place them on lined baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and optional food coloring until smooth for icing.
