- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cooked elbow macaroni, tomato sauce, mustard, ketchup, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Layer half of the mixture in the greased baking dish and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
- Add the remaining mixture and top with the rest of the cheese and bread crumbs.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
