- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Gather and prepare all ingredients: trim chicken and chop garlic and basil.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper; cook until golden brown (about 6–7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
- Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant. Add heavy cream and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Stir in cubed mozzarella until melted and smooth.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
- Slice cooked chicken and return it to the skillet with drained pasta. Mix well, adding reserved pasta water for desired creaminess.
- Serve topped with fresh basil and grated Parmesan.
