Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter with milk and water over medium heat until bubbling. Stir in sugar and salt.
  3. Remove from heat, add flour, and mix until smooth.
  4. Allow to cool slightly, then incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them apart.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  7. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
