  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press into the prepared dish and bake until lightly golden (about 15 minutes).
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and baking powder until smooth.
  4. Fold sliced strawberries into the custard mixture gently.
  5. Pour the filling over the baked crust and return to the oven. Bake for another 30-35 minutes until set and golden.
