- 9 lasagna noodles (no-boil recommended)
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot, boil salted water and cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with eggs, salt, pepper, and half of the Parmesan until smooth.
- In an oven-safe dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom. Layer noodles, followed by ricotta mixture, mozzarella cheese, more meat sauce—repeat until ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil (shiny side down) and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing to keep layers intact.
