  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 8 oz dairy cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. 1. Warm the milk until lukewarm and mix with yeast and sugar; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. In another bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter, egg, and vanilla to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. 3. Gradually add flour to wet ingredients, stirring until combined. Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. 4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. While dough rises, chop strawberries and mix with sugar; set aside to release juices.
  6. 6. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, spread cream cheese evenly over it, then layer strawberries on top.
