  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup cooking oil (canola or vegetable)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by setting up three bowls: one with flour mixed with turmeric, paprika, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; and one with breadcrumbs.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into strips approximately 1 inch wide.
  3. Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, dip it into the egg, and then roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, pour enough oil to cover the bottom by half an inch. Wait until it shimmers before adding chicken strips.
  5. Fry the chicken tenders for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
