  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp five-spice powder
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice (100% juice)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, five-spice powder, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  2. Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  4. Arrange marinated chicken thighs skin-side up in the dish and pour any leftover marinade over them.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
