  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss together cranberries, apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice until well coated.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the cranberry-apple mixture for about 5 minutes until cranberries pop and apples soften slightly.
  4. Grease a baking dish and transfer the sautéed mixture into it.
  5. Bake uncovered for approximately 25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
